Carrboro’s old name is the Triangle’s newest dining destination. Welcome to Venable Rotisserie Bistro! We serve elevated comfort food with big, bold flavors featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Chef/Owner Drew Moore graduated from the Culinary Institute of America before working at a series of noted restaurants throughout the world including San Dominico in Imola, Italy, Club Chelsea in Aspen, I Trulli in New York City, and Troquet in Boston. Locally, Moore has cooked at The Siena Hotel’s Il Palio, Tyler’s Taproom, and was the first chef at The Federal in Durham.  Vanessa Moore grew up in Chapel Hill graduating from Chapel Hill High.  She pursued degrees from Colby College and Harvard University before turning her talents to Venable.  The couple has two young boys, Jackson and Wyatt.

Our menus offer unique twists on familiar items such as our completely vegetarian (and delicious) Banh Mi Sandwich, and our signature Cobb Salad topped with fresh roasted chicken hot off the rotisserie. The Venable Burger is made from ground chuck and short rib topped with Hatch green chilis and the Venable Fried chicken is French-cut, pan-fried and topped with an arugula salad with lemon, black pepper and shaved parmesan. Befitting our name, we also feature several items cooked in our rotisserie oven including a half local free range chicken entrée.

We are equally proud of our cocktail list, craft and imported beer selection and carefully selected wine list.

Be sure to try our adjacent B-Side Lounge for small plates, wines on tap, creative cocktails and more! B-Side is also available for private parties, corporate dinners and event rental.
